G’day I’m Bec Jordan from Queensland Australia. I grew up on a large cattle property and my parents taught me to ride at a very young age. Over the years I have been involved in many different disciplines and tried numerous training methods. I have earnt myself a good reputation as a gentle colt starter however I think horses can teach us so much more than we can teach them. My main passion is relationship based liberty where we develop true heart connections with our horses. I’m a certified Liberty Foundations trainer with Ruella Yates.
Here at Kind Equine we are all about having fun, being creative and enjoying the company of our equine friends. Our specialty is reward based colt starting and re-training. We help you and your horse with numerous ground and ridden activities with. I’m a fully qualified and insured horse riding coach and offer lessons in horsemanship and liberty. Volunteers, working students and interns are always welcome so please feel free to contact me anytime.
I’m open minded and I endeavour to continue learning about horses and the art of communicating with them in harmony. I don’t believe in gimmicks and gadgets like lunging systems and restraints etc. I work in partnership with my horses to help them be strong, happy, confident and agile. I believe in natural horse management and practices where horses live together in herds on large pastures.
I have a very strong interest in Equitation Science and how horses learn, think and process information. I enjoy learning about neuroscience and the emotions and feelings attached to different behaviours. I have some prior experience in clicker training, straightness training, natural horsemanship, gymnastics groundwork, cutting, western riding, barefoot trimming, biomechanics and basic horse health assessments.
